Here are some frequently asked questions about our practice:
Payments and Insurance

Individual therapy is $215 per 50-minute session. Couples therapy is $240 per session; confirm session length when booking.
Please contact us about family-therapy fees, session length, therapist availability and fees for letters or reports before booking.

Many extended health plans include psychotherapy coverage, but eligibility, annual limits and practitioner requirements vary. Please confirm your coverage with your insurer before booking.
Direct billing is available for eligible plans. We can discuss eligibility and provide receipts for reimbursement. People without insurance are welcome.

We accept credit cards, e-transfer and cash. Eligible plans may allow direct billing. Receipts are available for reimbursement through your insurer.

If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we kindly ask for at least 24 hours’ notice. This allows us to offer the time to someone else and make necessary schedule adjustments. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice will incur the full session fee.

Psychotherapy, also known as talk therapy, is a way to help people with a variety of mental health issues. It involves talking with a trained therapist to explore thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and work towards positive change.

The length of therapy depends on the individual and their specific needs. We offer both short-term and long-term therapy, and work with clients to determine the best approach.

We typically recommend weekly sessions, but the frequency can vary based on the individual's needs.

Yes, everything discussed in therapy is confidential, with a few exceptions. We will discuss these exceptions during our first session.

During the first session, we will discuss your reasons for seeking therapy and your goals for therapy. We will also go over our policies and answer any questions you may have.
