Here are some frequently asked questions about our practice:

 What is psychotherapy?

Psychotherapy, also known as talk therapy, is a way to help people with a variety of mental health issues. It involves talking with a trained therapist to explore thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and work towards positive change.

What issues do you treat?

We work with a range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and more. Please contact us to discuss if we are the right fit for you.

How much does it cost?

Our fee is $150 for a 50-minute session for both couples and individual counselling.

Do you accept insurance?

Yes, we are registered with many insurance companies. However, we do not do direct billing. We provide you with a receipt at the end of each session that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.

How long does therapy take?

The length of therapy depends on the individual and their specific needs. We offer both short-term and long-term therapy, and work with clients to determine the best approach.

How often do I need to come to therapy?

We typically recommend weekly sessions, but the frequency can vary based on the individual's needs.

Is everything I say in therapy confidential?

Yes, everything discussed in therapy is confidential, with a few exceptions. We will discuss these exceptions during our first session.

What can I expect during my first session?

During the first session, we will discuss your reasons for seeking therapy and your goals for therapy. We will also go over our policies and answer any questions you may have.

 How do I schedule an appointment?

You can contact us by phone or email to schedule an appointment. We will get back to you as soon as possible to set up a time that works for you.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule an appointment?

Please let us know as soon as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. We require 24 hours notice for cancellations or changes to avoid being charged for the session.
