About Me
Gregory Smith
I am a certified psychotherapist. I am qualified to counsel using a range of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Psychodynamic Therapy.
Most important, however, my approach is tailored to your unique needs and preferences.
I’ve worked in therapy for many years, and I've seen firsthand the transformative effects that it can have on people's lives.
I know what it's like to struggle with emotional problems because I've walked a path similar to yours. This allows me to bring a unique perspective to my work.
With this in mind, I strive to create a safe and non-judgmental space where you can express your thoughts and emotions freely.
Professional Qualification, Licenses, and Registrations
I have a Master of Arts degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University which covered training in a range of therapeutic approaches, including Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Informed Practice, and Mindfulness-Based Intervention.
I am a licensed and accredited member of the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) [Qualifying] and an accredited Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC).
Before becoming a psychotherapist, I worked in the mental health sector of the BC government.
